Message from the editorial board of MS
Mycological Spectrum is a progressive platform related to fungal biology and bio-technology, taxonomy, biochemistry, genetics and evolution, ecology and conservation, and all other facets related to mycology.
It is an international, peer-reviewed, scientific journal open to the general public as well as to scientific communities around the globe. All the research articles, reviews, and other materials are published half yearly (two issues in an year) and can be accessed online immediately after publication.

Aims and Scope
Mycological Spectrum is a peer-reviewed, international, open-access scientific journal aiming to provide a state-of-the-art environment for research related to all aspects of the study of fungi and their applications.
The journal publishes reviews, original articles, and short communications. Our aim is to persuade scientists to publish their theoretical and experimental findings in a detailed manner and promote research and development on a global level. It is available online and initially published half yearly (two issues in an year) with doi to uphold the highest quality standards.
The scope of this journal covers all the broad fungi-related topics, i.e. systematics, taxonomy (including morphotaxonomy and molecular phylogeny), biochemistry, ecology and conservation, genetics and evolution, and biotechnology.
A strict process for peer review of manuscripts has been established, and the referees have a wide range of expertise related to various domains of fungal research.
Publication ethics statement
The journal ensures the addition of high-caliber scientific works to the field of academic publication. It enforces a DOUBLE-BLIND peer-review process along with strict ethical principles and standards. We are also striving to be a member of COPE (Centre of Publication Ethics), wherein ethical concerns such as plagiarism, data falsification, incorrect authorship credit, and other similar offences are taken seriously by the journal and handled with a zero-tolerance approach.
